TOPIC: HIDDEN WITH CHRIST
THEME SCRIPTURE: “For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God." — Colossians 3:3 (NIV)
PREPARATORY QUESTIONS:
- What does it mean for your life to be hidden with Christ?
The truest parts of your life are not what others see. They are not found in your résumé, your reputation, or even your routines. According to Scripture, your life—your real, enduring, eternal life— is hidden with Christ in God. That means your identity, security, and future are not exposed to the changing winds of public opinion, nor are they vulnerable to the shifting circumstances of this world.
To be hidden with Christ is to live in quiet confidence, not desperate striving.
There’s a holy obscurity to the Christian life. The world may overlook it, but God never does. This was echoed by John the Beloved, who wrote, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew Him not.” (1 John 3:1 KJV)
What matters most is not being known by the crowd but being hidden in Christ. Actually, it is a waste of time and one's life [as a child of God] to want to be known by the world.
This truth comforts and challenges us also. It comforts us when we feel unseen or unappreciated - because God sees. It challenges us when we crave worldly affirmation more than divine communion.
Jesus Himself lived most of His life in obscurity. Thirty quiet years prepared Him for three public ones. This year, your impact on your family, friends, and loved ones won't require social media visibility. In fact, our impact often grows best underground, like a seed taking root.
So this year, beloved, do not fear being hidden. Do not rush to be noticed. This year, let your roots go deep in Christ. Seek to be faithful in the secret place. From there, fruit will come in season, sustained by the One who sees in secret and rewards openly (Matthew 6:6).
Precious one, don’t fear the hidden place. That’s where God does His best work. Your life in Him is safe, steady, and full of promise—even when no one else sees it.
Remain blessed.

QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU MEDITATE ON THE WORD
- Where am I seeking approval from others more than intimacy with Christ?
- Do I believe that what is hidden in God is more secure than what is praised in public?
- What does it mean for me to live from a place of being “hidden with Christ”?
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, thank You that my life is hidden in You. Teach me to rest in that security. I affirm my freedom from the need to be seen, known, or celebrated by the world this day. I am finding my joy in Your presence and peace in Your covering. Lord, continue to hide me in the shadow of Your wings, helping me grow deep roots in You, unseen but strong. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
