TOPIC: WHEN FEAR SPEAKS, CHALLENGE IT.
THEME SCRIPTURE: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7
PREPARATORY QUESTION
1. Whose voice should we agree with when fear arises?
Fear has a voice. It makes predictions, draws conclusions, and often sounds convincing. It tells you you’re not ready, not capable, not enough. If left unchallenged, it becomes the loudest voice in the room.
But this scripture exposes something critical: fear is not from God.
Beloved, this means every fear-driven thought must be evaluated. Does it produce power, love, and clarity? Or does it produce hesitation, isolation, and confusion? God’s voice leads you into strength, not paralysis.
You don’t overcome fear by passively hoping it disappears. You confront it by replacing it.
When fear says, “You will fail,” truth says, “I am strengthened for what I’m called to do.”
When fear says, “You are alone,” truth says, “God is present and active.”
When fear says, “You can’t handle this,” truth says, “I have a sound mind.”
Notice that God has given you all that you need to counter fear.
Scripture reminds us that God has given us:
Power — the ability to act, not just think.
Love — the capacity to rise above self-protection and trust God fully.
Sound mind — clarity and discipline, even under pressure.
Fear thrives in unchallenged thoughts. It weakens when brought into the light of truth.
Today, don’t just feel your fear—interrogate it. Question its source. Measure it against God’s Word. Then choose which voice you will follow. Choose the voice of God.
Key Takeaway:
Fear loses its grip when you stop agreeing with it and start answering it with truth.
Precious one, agreement is powerful. Whatever voice you agree with will shape your direction. Today, choose to agree with the word of God and see your life move forward.
Remain blessed.

QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU MEDITATE ON THE WORD
1. What recurring thought has fear been feeding you?
2. Does that thought align with power, love, and a sound mind?
3. What truth from God’s Word directly challenges that fear?
4. How can you practice responding to fear immediately when it arises?
PRAYER
Father, help me to recognize the voices I’ve been agreeing with. You have not given me a spirit of fear. Teach me to reject thoughts that do not come from You and to stand firm in Your truth. Fill me with Your power to act, Your love to trust, and a sound mind to think clearly. I choose to align my thoughts with You today. Strengthen me to answer fear with truth, every time it speaks. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.
