TOPIC: ANOTHER STRENGTH FOR THE BATTLE
THEME SCRIPTURE: “Of Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do.” — 1 Chronicles 12:32
PREPARATORY QUESTION
- What does it mean for a person to be a man who understands the times?
As David’s support grew, Scripture highlights a remarkable group: the men of Issachar. They weren’t singled out for physical strength or military skill, but for something deeper—they understood the times and knew what to do.
In seasons of uncertainty, strength alone is not enough. Courage without clarity can lead to missteps. David’s journey wasn’t just about gathering warriors; it was about surrounding himself with people who could discern God’s direction in complex moments.
Understanding the times means more than awareness of circumstances—it requires spiritual perception. It’s the ability to see beyond what is obvious and recognize what God is doing beneath the surface.
Today, beloved, while others may panic, drift, or follow trends, those with discernment remain anchored and purposeful.
We live in a world full of noise—opinions, pressures, and constant change. It’s easy to react instead of reflect, to move quickly without seeking God’s insight. But God invites us into a wiser way of living: one that pauses, listens, and aligns with His purposes. This is the Issachar move.
Discernment grows through relationship with God. It is cultivated in prayer, shaped by Scripture, and strengthened through obedience.
Like the men of Issachar, we are called not just to observe our environment but to respond rightly within it.
Precious one, whether you are facing decisions, challenges, or transitions, God is not silent. He is willing to guide you—not only in what to do, but in how to understand where you are. And this is crucial if we are going to wield an advantage in all seasons.
Key Takeaway:
Spiritual discernment equips you to respond wisely in every season. It is the one thing that can give you a superior advantage in each season and dominion over your adversaries
From today going forward, you are discerning your times and seasons, and the hearts of all those around.
Remain blessed.
