TOPIC: BUILD ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN
THEME SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 25:40
PREPARATORY QUESTIONS:
- Why do people prepare building plans before they start their building projects?
- Is it really important to have a building plan before you start building?
- What are some of the countries and communities you would like to live in and also the countries and areas you wouldn’t like to ever live there?
- What makes us want to live in some communities or residential areas and other residential communities you wouldn’t want to ever live there?
One of the most interesting statements of the creation account in the first chapter of Genesis is “God saw all that He has made, and it was very good…” – Gen 1:31. The only way God could come to such a conclusion, that His creation is very good was to compare the final outcome.
What did God compare His final outcome of creation to?
Scripture makes us understand that God is a God of pattern (or plans). In other words, God builds with architectural drawings. How do we know this for sure?
When it was time for Moses to build the tabernacle of the wilderness God instructed him to make sure he built according to the pattern (or design) which He (God) showed him on the Mount. God insisted that Moses builds according to His design. Also, when David was about dying he gave Solomon (his son) the designs and drawings (or plans) for the temple that God wants them to build. He told Solomon and the elders of Israel that he had those plans by the Spirit of God depositing them in his mind – 1Chron 28:12. “All this, David said, I have in writing from the hand of the Lord upon me and He gave me understanding in all the details of the plan.” – 1 Chronicles 28:19
If God will build tabernacles and temples by plans and designs, how much more our lives? Definitely, He has plans also for our lives. (Read Jeremiah 29:11). His plans (or designs) for our lives are to prosper us and not to harm us. His plans are to give us hope and a future. Isn’t this beautiful to know that God has made a plan for your life – there’s an architectural drawing for your life? Glory to God. Should we not be thankful to God that our lives are not just by chance but by divine plan?
Precious One, this year God has plans for your life and you should be interested. You should build your life this year according to God’s plans for you. I see you building your life this year according to God’s plan. Hallelujah!

QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU MEDITATE ON THE WORD:
- If I have my own plans in life isn’t that all right? After all, my plans are not bad plans
- If our lives have divine plans, how can we have those plans to build our lives?
- What are the benefits of building our lives according to God’s plan?
PRAYER
I thank you Father for the divine plans You have for my life. Your plans for my life make me know that I am special. I confess that the divine plans of God are available to me this day going forward. I see myself walking in the plans of God for my life and prospering in everything that I do in Jesus’ Precious Name. Amen
