TOPIC: SPEAK THE TRUTH IN LOVE

THEME SCRIPTURE: “And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord.” — 2 Samuel 12:13 KJV

 

PREPARATORY QUESTION:

1. When was the last time you lovingly helped someone recognize a wrong and turn back to God?

 

Nathan confronted David—not to condemn him, but to restore him. Godly confrontation is not about pride, anger, or proving someone wrong; it is about loving people enough to help them recognize what is keeping them from God.

Confronting sin is uncomfortable, but ignoring it is not love. Jesus corrected those He loved, and Scripture calls us to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15).

When correction is necessary, pray for the right timing, speak only the truth, choose your words wisely, and seek restoration rather than condemnation. Then leave the outcome to God.

Precious one, love does not always remain silent. Sometimes, love must speak—even when it is difficult. Ask God for the courage, wisdom, and humility to correct others in a way that reflects His heart.
