TOPIC: THE OPPORTUNITY
THEME SCRIPTURE: "But this will be your opportunity to tell them about me.” – Luke 21:13 (NLT)
PREPARATORY QUESTIONS:
- What opportunities could lie within our trials as Christians?
Jesus did not describe persecution merely as suffering. He called it an opportunity.
That single word changes everything.
When opposition rises, our instinct is to ask, “How do I get out of this?” Jesus asks, “How will you represent Me in this?” Such that the courtroom becomes a pulpit. The prison becomes a sanctuary. The accusation becomes an announcement.
God does not waste pressure meant to derail us. He repurposes it.
Throughout history, the gospel has advanced not despite resistance— but often through it. What authorities intended to silence became the very means by which Christ was proclaimed more boldly. When believers were scattered, the message spread. When they were questioned, they testified. When they were pressed, their faith rang clear.
Your present hardship may not involve governors or kings. It may look like ridicule at work, tension in your family, or isolation among friends. Yet the principle remains: every moment of testing carries witnessing potential.
Notice—Jesus does not promise instant deliverance. He promises presence and purpose. The Holy Spirit supplies wisdom. Christ stands beside His own. And the watching world sees whether our faith is theoretical or real.
Beloved, courage is contagious. Steadfastness speaks. Peace under pressure is difficult to dismiss. And also, you may never choose the stage God places you on. But you can choose how you stand on it.
What if the conversation you dread is the doorway someone else needs today? What if your composure under fire will plant a seed that blooms long after the moment passes? What if...
Precious one, your trial is not random. It is strategic to heaven's cause.
Key Takeaway
Every trial of yours holds witnessing potential—God turns our pressures into proclamations. So, whatever trial you find yourself in, or may someday find yourself in, have just one aim: “God must be glorified ".
Today, as you step out, lean in, beloved. Speak clearly. Love boldly. Heaven is at work through you in places you cannot yet see. Seize every opportunity to glorify the King.
Remain blessed.

QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU MEDITATE ON THE WORD
- Where is God giving me an unexpected platform right now?
- How do I typically respond when my faith is challenged—fearfully or faithfully?
- What would it look like to see my current struggle as an assignment rather than an obstacle?
PRAYER
Lord Jesus,
Shift my perspective when I face resistance. Help me see opportunity where I once saw inconvenience. Fill me with Your Spirit so that my words are truthful, my tone is gracious, and my courage is steady. Dear Lord, use my life—especially the difficult parts—to point others toward You.
Above all, help me to be faithful on every stage You entrust to me. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
