TOPIC:  THE WELL THAT NEVER RUNS DRY

PREPARATORY QUESTION

1. What have you been looking to for satisfaction that only Jesus can provide?

 

The Samaritan woman came to the well expecting an ordinary day. Instead, she encountered the One who knew every detail of her life and still chose to offer her living water. Jesus exposed neither her past to shame her nor her failures to condemn her. He revealed them to awaken her to a deeper need that no earthly relationship or possession could satisfy.

Like this woman, many people try to quench their inner thirst with achievement, recognition, comfort, or even religious activity. These things may satisfy for a moment, but they cannot fill the emptiness that only God can occupy.

Revival begins when we stop masking our spiritual thirst and honestly acknowledge our need for Christ.

Jesus shifted the conversation from physical water to eternal life. He wanted the woman to understand that her greatest problem was not her circumstances but her separation from God. His offer of living water was an invitation into a restored relationship with the Father—a life continually sustained by His presence.

The woman's response reveals the evidence of a revived heart. She left behind her water jar, returned to her town, and eagerly told others about Jesus. The very person who had likely avoided people became a bold witness because one encounter with Christ had changed her priorities. She no longer came to draw water; she left overflowing with the message of the Messiah.

Revival does not end with personal renewal. It overflows into joyful witness. Hearts that have truly encountered Jesus cannot remain silent about His grace. They become channels through which others are invited to experience the same living water.

PRAYER

Father, thank You for offering living water that truly satisfies. Forgive me for seeking fulfillment in things that can never satisfy my soul. Draw me into deeper fellowship with You until my heart finds its joy in Your presence alone. Let Your Spirit refresh me, renew my love for You, and make my life a testimony that leads others to You. May revival begin in me and overflow to those around me. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.
