TOPIC: THE QUIET WORK OF GOD

PREPARATORY QUESTION

1. Are you willing to trust God’s process in you even when it feels slow, hidden, or unfinished?

 

Spiritual growth rarely feels dramatic while it is happening.

Most of the time, it feels slow, Uneven, Unfinished.

There are seasons where you can clearly see progress, and seasons where nothing seems to be changing at all. In those quiet seasons, doubt often creeps in. People assume they are stagnant. Some even assume God has stopped working.

Paul reminds believers that God’s work does not depend on human visibility. What God begins, He also completes. The absence of visible progress does not mean the absence of divine activity.

God is not only present in breakthroughs. He is also present in process.

Many believers become discouraged because they measure growth by feelings instead of truth. They expect instant transformation in areas where God is shaping character over time. But God’s work is often deeper than behavior modification. He is forming endurance, humility, dependence, and maturity.

This process is rarely comfortable. It exposes weaknesses. It stretches faith. It confronts pride. It reveals areas that still need surrender.

Yet it is not wasted.

God finishes what He starts.

Your responsibility is not to rush the process but to remain faithful in it.

Keep obeying when results are not immediate.

Keep praying when answers feel delayed.

Keep trusting when clarity is limited.

Spiritual maturity is often formed in seasons where nothing seems impressive, but everything is being shaped.

PRAYER

Father, thank You that You do not abandon what You start. Help me to trust Your process even when I do not see immediate results. Give me patience, endurance, and faithfulness in seasons of slow growth. Remind me that You are still working in me and will complete what You have begun. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
