TOPIC: WHAT YOU FEED WILL GROW
THEME SCRIPTURE: “Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.” — Romans 8:5
PREPARATORY QUESTION
- What have you been consistently feeding your mind—fear or truth?
Growth is not accidental. It follows attention.
Whatever you repeatedly think about, dwell on, and rehearse internally will expand in influence. Fear operates the same way. It grows when it is fed through constant worry, imagined outcomes, and unchallenged assumptions.
Our theme scripture draws a clear line: what you set your mind on determines the direction of your life.
Fear says, “Keep thinking about the problem.”
The Spirit leads you to consider truth, even when the problem remains.
Feeding fear doesn’t always look obvious. It can come through subtle habits— replaying negative scenarios, focusing on what could go wrong, or surrounding yourself with voices that reinforce anxiety.
On the other hand, feeding your spirit requires intention. It means choosing what you allow to occupy your thoughts. It means returning to truth even when your emotions resist it.
You cannot starve fear while constantly supplying it.
If you want fear to lose strength, you must reduce its input in your life, and increase truth’s presence. This is not about ignoring reality— it’s about refusing to magnify it beyond God’s authority.
Ask yourself: What am I reinforcing daily in my life?
Beloved, every thought you entertain is shaping you. Every focus you sustain is forming you.
Today, adjust your intake. Be deliberate about what you dwell on. When fear tries to settle in, interrupt it. Replace it. Redirect it. Cast it out.
Key Takeaway
Fear grows when it is fed; it weakens when your mind is anchored in truth—the truth of God.
So, as you begin the day, know that you are not powerless over your thought life—you are responsible for it. The right thoughts would put you on the right path. So, be intentional about what you think on; make a choice.
Think truth. Think pure. Think courage. Think possibilities.
Remain blessed.

PRAYER
Lord, make me aware of what I’ve been feeding my mind. I recognize that some of my habits have allowed fear to grow. Help me to redirect my thoughts and focus on what aligns with Your truth. Give me discipline to guard my mind and wisdom to choose what I dwell on. Strengthen my spirit as I intentionally set my mind on You. Let fear lose its hold as I focus on Your presence and Your promises. In Jesus's precious name, Amen.
