TOPIC: COURAGE THAT MOVES FORWARD
THEME SCRIPTURE: “Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid… for the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” — Deuteronomy 31:6
PREPARATORY QUESTION
- In our own experience, who can be deemed as a courageous person or a strong person?
Fear rarely announces itself loudly. It whispers. It delays action. It disguises itself as caution, logic, or even wisdom. Yet over time, it builds invisible boundaries around your life— limiting what you attempt, where you go, and who you become.
The command in this theme verse is not casual— it is direct: be strong and courageous. Not because fear won’t exist, but because *God goes ahead of you. That changes everything.
Beloved, as you step out today, you are not stepping into uncertainty alone; you are stepping into a path already seen, already secured by no one but God.
Notice what God does not promise: a life without threats, risks, or unknowns. Instead, He promises His presence before you arrive. The fear you feel about tomorrow is met by a God who is already there.
Fear becomes destructive when it shifts your focus inward—toward your limitations, your control, your outcomes. Courage, on the other hand, shifts your focus forward— toward God’s faithfulness.
This means courage is not the absence of fear; it is the decision to move forward despite it.
Ask yourself: Is your fear protecting you, or is it preventing you? There is a difference.
Precious one, today, refuse to let fear write your script. You don’t need to eliminate every anxious thought. You need to anchor yourself in a greater truth: you are not abandoned, not exposed, and not unprepared. God has gone ahead.
Key Takeaway:
Courage begins when you trust that God is already where you’re afraid to go.
So, take one step you’ve been avoiding today. Not ten steps. Just one. Courage grows through movement, not contemplation.
Remain blessed.

PRAYER
Lord, You see the fears I carry—spoken and unspoken. I admit that at times they have controlled my thoughts and decisions. Today, I choose to trust You. You go before me, and You do not abandon me. Give me clarity to recognize fear that restrains me and courage to move forward in faith. Strengthen my heart, steady my mind, and guide my steps. I will not be ruled by fear—I will walk with You. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.
