Ps. Alex Buabeng-Korsah
TOPIC: EVERY PURPOSE HAS A DIVINE PROVISION
THEME SCRIPTURE: Exodus 31:2-4
PREPARATORY QUESTIONS:
- What is Purpose?
- What is your purpose in this life?
- Why must we live purposefully?
Today, it is easy to find a Christian who is in need and has prayed for years without results. It isn’t that prayer doesn’t work. Rather, what they are looking for is embedded in their purpose. When God gave Moses instructions and patterns for the building of the tabernacle of God in the wilderness, He also gave him resources and skilled men to help him. In the wilderness, there were no skilled goldsmiths, silversmiths or blacksmiths to mould the metalworks. God solved that problem easily for Moses. He [God] downloaded that skill into Bezaleel, the son of Uri and the grandson of Hur, to be the goldsmith and silversmith Moses needed.
Precious One, where there is God’s purpose, there will always be God’s provision.
When God need Moses to go to Egypt to rescue the children of Israel, he gave so many excuses (Exodus 4:1). Moses said, “I don’t know how to talk” (Exodus 4:10). God gave him Aaron (his senior brother) to be his spokesperson (Exodus 4:14-15). He also felt inadequate and intimidated, having to contend with Pharaoh (Exodus 3:11). God solved this problem for him. He turned his shepherd rod into the rod of God (Exodus 4:20). Whatever excuse Moses had God was ready to provide a panacea for it. God will pay any price and provide the required resources to achieve His purpose, including your security, sustenance and well-being.
You know, one thing that is very difficult for God to do is to cater for our requests when we are out of sync with His purpose. If He does cater for all our requests, we will become comfortable and continue to remain out of sync with his purpose for our lives.
What are you looking for in this life? Seek and pursue first, God’s purpose for your life (because it will advance the kingdom of God and its righteousness on earth) and all these [things you are looking for] shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). Are you wondering, "what is my purpose and how can I discover it"? Check out this article
You see, the place of fulfilment is guaranteed by the place of purpose. The place of purpose is guaranteed by the place of provision.
If you find your true purpose, you have found your path to true fulfilment. However, what God has provided into your hands is proof of what He has called you to do. With Moses, it was a shepherd's rod. Not knowing God has called him to shepherd His people through the wilderness. David, the shepherd boy, had the sling in his hand. God used him as Israel's shepherd and deliverer. Precious One, "what is in your hands"?
From today going forward, you are finding and fulfilling God’s purpose for your life daily, as He supplies all your needs according to His riches in glory. Hallelujah!

QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU MEDITATE ON THE WORD:
- Does this mean that if I serve God’s purpose for my life He will be responsible for what I want?
- How can I know God’s purpose for my life at all times?
CONFESSION
Precious Lord, thank you for the revelation of Your word. I affirm that before I was born You designed my destiny, ordaining that I would fulfil the plan and purposes of God. I have become God’s poetry, a recreated person fulfilling the destiny He has given because I am joined to Jesus. Glory to God.
