TOPIC: THE LIFE THAT COMES THROUGH DEATH

THEME SCRIPTURE: “Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” —John 12:24

PREPARATORY QUESTION

1. What in your life is God asking you to release so He can multiply it?

Jesus does not romanticize growth. He calls it "death" first.

A seed that refuses to fall into the ground stays intact— but it stays alone and unproductive. It retains its shape but forfeits its purpose. In God’s economy, preservation without surrender is loss disguised as safety.

Many believers want fruit without burial. Influence without surrender. Expansion without cost. But the kingdom operates differently: life multiplies only after something is relinquished.

This is not about physical death. It is about the deliberate surrender of control—your rights, ego, preferences, ambitions, and even your timing.

The seed “dies” when it stops insisting on remaining what it was.

Precious one, if you keep protecting everything, you may also be preventing everything God intended to grow through you.

The paradox here is sharp: you don’t gain by holding tighter—you gain by letting go. What dies in your hands often rises in God’s hands, multiplied beyond what you could manage. Glory to God.

 Key Takeaway

You do not access growth and multiplication in the Kingdom without first surrendering to the will of God. What you protect will never grow.

Beloved, the call of Christ is not to self-preservation but to fruitful surrender. Anything you refuse to release becomes a limitation rather than a legacy.

Remain blessed.

QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU MEDITATE ON THE WORD

1. What are you currently protecting that God may be asking you to release?

2. Where are you choosing comfort over fruitfulness?

3. What “seed” in your life feels like loss but may actually be obedience?

PRAYER

Lord, I release what I have been holding too tightly. Teach me the wisdom of surrender. Kill in me what blocks growth, and produce through me what reflects Your life. Help me trust that what falls into Your hands is never wasted. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.
