TOPIC: MY LORD AND MY GOD

PREPARATORY QUESTION
Is my faith anchored in the living Christ, or am I allowing doubt to keep me from wholehearted trust?
Thomas is often remembered for his doubt, but his story is ultimately one of renewed faith. When the other disciples testified that they had seen the risen Jesus, Thomas could not bring himself to believe. Grief, disappointment, and unanswered questions had left him unconvinced. He insisted that he would not believe unless he saw and touched the wounds of Christ for himself.
Eight days later, Jesus came.
Without rebuking Thomas for his honesty, Jesus invited him to do exactly what he had requested. "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." Confronted with the risen Lord, Thomas could only respond, "My Lord and my God!"
His encounter reminds us that revival is not the absence of questions but the presence of Christ. Doubt may raise difficult questions, but only Jesus provides satisfying answers. When we bring our uncertainties to Him instead of allowing them to draw us away, our faith is strengthened and our vision becomes clearer.
Many believers quietly wrestle with doubt. They question God's timing, His promises, or His presence during seasons of suffering. Yet Thomas shows us that Christ does not reject those who sincerely seek Him. He meets them with truth, reveals Himself through His Word, and calls them to deeper trust.
Jesus also spoke beyond Thomas to every generation of believers: "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." Our faith rests not on visible proof but on the trustworthy testimony of God's Word and the witness of the Holy Spirit. As we continue to walk with Christ, our confidence grows because we know the One in whom we have believed.
A revived heart moves beyond uncertainty to worship. It no longer sees Jesus merely as a teacher or miracle worker but gladly confesses Him as Lord and God. Genuine encounters with Christ always deepen reverence, strengthen conviction, and produce steadfast obedience.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your patience and faithfulness. When my faith is weak, draw me closer to Yourself and help me trust Your Word above my feelings and circumstances. Reveal more of Your character to me, deepen my confidence in Your promises, and lead me into a life of wholehearted obedience. May my heart continually confess, "My Lord and my God," and may my life reflect the transforming power of knowing You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
