A few years ago, I got a call from a lady who was based in Europe. She was confused about her dream. She dreamt that she had been murdered by her father. Her father came at her and took her life with a sword. In her confused situation, she began to behave suspiciously towards everybody around her. The reason for this was that her father, whom she could easily have suspected, had died and gone a long time ago.
So anyone close to her became a suspect until we had a chat. But I realised something — maybe if the father had not been dead and gone, she wouldn’t have been confused, but also she wouldn’t have been right in how she would have approached the dream. Poor understanding of dreams can lead to extremities. Some of us have thrown away our dreams just because we didn’t understand them. That is also extreme if you can disregard dreams.
