TOPIC: LEADING OTHERS BACK TO GOD
THEME SCRIPTURE: “Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him who turned to the Lord as he did—with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength.” — 2 Kings 23:25
PREPARATORY QUESTIONS:
- What made Josiah unique among all kings of Israel such that he had this testimony recorded in the theme Scripture?
Josiah’s story doesn’t end with personal obedience. His surrendered heart became a catalyst for collective renewal. After cleansing the land and restoring true worship, he gathered the people, read the Book of the Law aloud, and led the nation in covenant with God.
This is how God often works—He begins with one heart, then multiplies the impact.
Josiah didn’t force transformation; he modeled it. His devotion invited the people to return to the Lord together.
Spiritual leadership isn’t about position, age, or authority— it’s about influence rooted in obedience. When our lives align with God’s truth, others notice.
Beloved, our choices, humility, and faithfulness create pathways for others to encounter God for themselves.
Josiah didn’t just remove idols; he restored worship. He reinstituted the Passover, reminding the people of who God was and what He had done for them. In doing so, he anchored the nation’s future to God’s faithfulness, not their failures.
God still uses willing hearts to lead others back to Him—parents, friends, mentors, coworkers, and believers who quietly live surrendered.
Precious one, you may never wear a crown, but your obedience can still guide others toward hope, truth, and restoration.
What should be the key takeaway from today's devotional? It is this:
_When you walk wholeheartedly with God, your obedience becomes an invitation for others to return to Him. One surrendered life can ignite renewal in many. So, don't just go about touting that I am a Christian. Rather, live your life surrendered to God, and let Him use you to bless others._
Child of God, never underestimate the reach of a life fully turned toward God. Remain blessed.

- In what ways does my life reflect a genuine devotion that others can see?
- How can I intentionally point others back to God through my words, actions, or example?
PRAYER
Father, let my life draw others closer to You. Help me lead not by perfection, but by humility and obedience. Give me a heart that reflects Your love and truth so clearly that others are encouraged to seek You. Use my surrender to bring renewal beyond myself. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
